Apprentices travel back in time

It's a zealously kept secret all round. When I asked the BBC press office last season how far in advance filming of The Apprentice was scheduled, they played the deadest of bats. But now we have a rough timetable.

Episode three saw our clodhopping heroes buying nick-nacks for the reopening of the Savoy (after over two years' refurbishment). A quick check reveals that the hotel actually got back in business in October 2010 (which makes this saga eight months old). Those were the days when VAT was still 17.5% and everyone loved Nick Clegg.

Did you see leaves falling from trees last week? How about a Father Christmas challenge for Wimbledon? And the winner is ? (sorry, injuncted).
