Rastamouse to play Glastonbury 2011

Well who would you rather see? Coldplay or a stuffed rodent with a Jamaican accent?

It's the big question everyone at Glastonbury 2011 will be debating: do I catch Queens of the Stone Age, or a fictional mouse with a Jamaican accent? News that cult kids TV star Rastamouse is to make his debut in the arena of live music with a show in the festival's Kidz Field has left music fans hastily rejigging their schedule.

Details as to what a Rastamouse set will involve remains scant at present and your guess is perhaps as good as ours ? he is, after all, a stuffed rodent in a knitted hat. But we can confirm that he will be bringing his Easy Crew along as backing band and that they will be playing three ? three! ? shows; one for each day of the festival.

Rumours that Rastamouse will perform a guest slot with U2, pushing With Or Without You in a more laid-back, reggae direction, had not been confirmed at time of going to press.

Rastamouse will be pitting his musical skills ? sorry, skillz ? against the likes of Zaz the Clown, Magic Kev and the Gruffalo. Unless, of course, the Easy Crew split before then citing creative differences.
